Academic excellence involves the pursuit of an ever improving learning environment assessed by a set of academic standards whereby all students can demonstrate academic growth. Effective instructional practices, student engagement, and higher order thinking, all evaluated by a set of academic standards, are the ingredients for creating and maintaining a learning environment where academic excellence can thrive. It is the motto of Legacy Christian School to "Teach On Purpose".

Biblical worldview is the governing perspective that the omniscient God of the universe is the source of all Truth. He has revealed in the Bible everything we need to know for life and godliness. The Bible is at the core of what Legacy teaches and the basis from which all other worldviews are evaluated. It is our task to encourage students to think about their world from Christian perspective.

Christian character is the physical, psychological, and spiritual expression of the fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-26). Christian character is revealed in the attitudes and actions of students in the form of integrity, faith, obedience, humility, love, unity, forgiveness, joy, thankfulness, commitment, compassion, and contentment. Legacy Christian Schools focus on strengthening the minds of students, and encouraging the development of Christ-like characteristics in each student.
