1st Grade

Mrs. Mitchell holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education, and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education with a focus on curriculum and instruction. She taught at Smithridge Elementary School for 10 years. She returned to teaching in 2007 at Legacy Christian School.

Mrs. Mitchell is married to her husband Matt with two wonderful children, Emily and Robert. She attends Grace church in Reno, where she serves in special events child care and the special events baking ministry. She is a substitute teaching leader for Bible Study Fellowship. “Bible Study Fellowship is where I discovered Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior.”

“I enjoy teaching at Legacy Christian School where I can use my knowledge of child development, best teaching practices, and my study of God, to teach each child that comes through my room without the constraints put on many public school teachers by the government. I can pray with a child, teach the Bible, and talk about God anytime I want at this school. Can it get any better than that?”.
